Antidote for Inherited Curses

In 2 Sam. 21:1-9. One may want to ask. What's the sin of the 7 persons slained/killed by the Gibeonites there. Is their death as a result of their fathers sin. Or as a result of their sin. My answer is whenever a covenant is violated, a curse will come into effect naturally. If we follow the issue from Josh. 9 where it all started. You will see, their is covenant between Isrealites and Gibeonites. That they will be save in Isreal. Covenant that no Isrealite would put a Gibeonite to death. But King Saul in his zeal for Isreal and Judah, exterminate them. Hence curse came into effect naturally as a famine. For a whole period of 3 consecutive years. The ugly part of these, is that these 7 innocent ones bear the brunt most. I mean loose their lives. Because their grandfather violated a covenant. For those of us. Going through the same challenge. Bearing/suffering the consequences of our parents, grandparents or/and ancestors mistakes. The good news is we can leverage the authority of Christ. As seen in Luke 10:1-24. For the Royalty of all Believers is the will of God.
